Naturen, staden med butiker och caféer, kommunikationen, skolorna, idrottsanläggningarna, lekplatser och grönområden. Att ha allt nära i ett välbyggt och fridfullt boende på en lugna gata i centrala Järna är underbart. Bostaden är en fristad, som ägarna själva uttrycker det.

Sarah och Ted flyttade med sina barn till Järna för några år sedan och stortrivs i området och i bostaden i synnerhet. Deras livssituation gör att de ser över sin boendesituation och kommer behöva sälja sitt älskade hus så småningom - i skrivande stund är det lite oklart när en flytt kommer att ske. A SANCTUARY ON A SUBURBAN STREET
This house has brought us so much comfort and joy over the years we have lived there. As we now prepare to head out on new adventures, we want to communicate just how wonderful of a home – not merely a house – Jägarvägen 9 is. Oh, the lucky people who will take it over from us and call it theirs.
First of all, for all the space it offers, it is manageable and easy. Low-maintenance, in other words, for just how big it is. From the large garage with huge storage to the spacious upstairs, we are constantly uncovering space to be used.
We chose this house because we wanted nature and access to Järna town – and transport to Stockholm. It offers it all. Our kids ride their bikes to football practice, to the store for milk, to friends to play. And we have wild woods outside our front and back doors, with common sightings of deer (and even a moose) in our backyard. Absolutely incredible! The house offers peace and quiet, as well as a sense of connection into anything you’d need. A true balance of needs. We ride our bikes to the station and take the train into Stockholm for work. And then return to the clean air, the quiet woods, and the friendly community at the end of the day - Paradise!
For those with small kids, the public playground out back is perfect. Without kids, you will never be disturbed by those playing there, as there is plenty of distance between the house and the swings.
When we first moved in, our children were younger and we all had bedrooms upstairs, while the downstairs was our office/guest space. Now that the children are older, they have the downstairs, while we work and sleep upstairs. There is a true sense of distance – almost like two different worlds – between the two floors. Absolutely fantastic when it meant walking downstairs “to work” from the family home, and now, walking back upstairs to calm and order from the teenage chaos.
Neighbors: on our left is an older man who has the most beautiful garden, which we enjoy as much as he does. He is kind and respectful, and a real pleasure to wave hello to on a bright spring day. On our right is a big patch of wild nature, which gives us a sense of privacy. Across the street, a very friendly guy lives with his girlfriend. Up and down the street are a collection of kind and respectful neighbors, from older people to younger families. Some of the older people have lived on the street since the houses were built in the 1960s and they place such pride in their properties, especially the gardens. As they get older and move on to new adventures, younger families are moving in, which brings a fun energy to the street.
Whenever anyone spends time in our home, they always comment on the calm feeling in it. Staring out at the garden. Sitting in the living room beside the fire. Or meeting in the kitchen to make a big meal to carry out to the back area. It is a fantastic home for parties, big dinners, or just for cuddling up together. We are only 4 who live there, but there is absolutely room for a larger family. We often have friends and family staying, and never feel crowded. It’s like the house gets bigger to accommodate everyone, saying “Om det finns hjärterum, så finns det stjärterum."
The house is warm in the winter, very well insulated with an extremely well-functioning heating system. The fireplace is just a bonus factor for coziness. In the spring and summer months, the size doubles, as the doors open and we are granted access to the fantastic backyard. The upstairs bathroom is fantastic - heated flooring, heated towels, and a wonderful double shower. With tons of storage space. The kitchen is a great place to prepare big meals in, and also super easy to clean up and organize – with space for everything. And… there is an extra storage room downstairs where we keep a second fridge and kitchen supplies that we use only on special occasions.
In the spring, the rhododendron bushes out front blossom, making our home the attraction of Jägarvägen. Absolutely stunning!
In the winter months, the sauna has provided us a space for warmth and connection. Truly making this easy-to-maintain home feel like a luxury above all else.

I Järna centrum finns apotek, Coop, ICA, frisörer, klädbutiker, blomsteraffär, restauranger, caféer, kemtvätt mm. Järna SK har ishall och fotbollsplaner.
Järna är den näst största tätorten i kommunen. Tätorten ligger söder om Södertälje - alldeles i närheten av Östersjön. Järna är känt för sin ekologiska profil med Sveriges största sortiment av ekologiska produkter. Saltå Kvarn är ett välkänt exempel. Bebyggelsen består mestadels av småhus men även flerfamiljshus finns.
Det finns sju kommunala förskolor och sex fristående förskolor i Järna. Två kommunala grundskolor och fyra fristående grundskolor finns också. Även ett par gymnasieskolor finns i Järna.
